Comments enabled...

This post is reasonably old, and therefore may have some broken links.[Hide]
Comments are now enabled on this blog. All of the code to do with the comments has been written by me tonight - I got bored of trying to make poor Blosxom plugins to work and I decided that writing my own stuff would be easier. While I have been enabling the comments I have also solved another problem - the permanent links. The permanent links used to link to the right part of a page with lots of posts on. However, on most blogs when you click on a permanent link you are taken to a page with only the relevant post on and any comments it has (as well as the fields needed to submit a comment). My new comments code has enabled this - the permanent links now link to a page with a single post on as well as the comment submission form and any comments that have previously been made. The comments code is not finished, however - I still need to make a more interesting layout and appearance, investigate recording the time comments are submitted and investigate retrieving the submission time for posts and comments.

Sorry for the short post over such a large development for this blog, but I need some sleep...
