As you will probably have noticed, there are rather a lot of strange statements, beginning "Notice:" on this blog at the moment (other than the title of this post). This is due to the fact that the server this blog is on is now running a new version of PHP. Nothing seems to be broken, so fixing the problem is not high priority on my todo list - however, I shall get rid of them at some point within the next few days. It turns out that the new version of PHP is configured to moan about everything it can, so it was moaning about a few of the shortcuts in my code - I removed those shortcuts and it seems happy now.
